I'm a German from Darmstadt, Hessia and I like and dislike many things including the stuff I remembered to fill in the lists below.
If you're not sure if you remember me there's the slight possibility that we've never actually met.
How do I live? My apartment is in the same house as my mother's apartment and our 2 cats Brötchen and Paulinchen roam freely within. I also have 4 leeches (look for the journal tag "leeches" to read about it). I go to work every day, commuting by car, and I stay at home for the weekends as far as possible.
What do I do? I teach languages to adults: English to Germans and German to people from various countries.
What's important? The cats. Reading. My TV shows.
I try to keep my journal interesting. That means interesting for me. I want to post only if I actually have to say something. Webfinds are outsourced to Nella's Google Reader Shared Items where you can see things on the net I find interesting enough to show around.

Livejournal sucks so hard you can't imagine how outraged I am about the management's behaviour. If you consider paying money for a paid or even permanent account here, or pay for someone else's account as a gift, think again:
The reason for me to get a paid account here was that I wanted to be able to use an abundance of userpics. You get that same service FOR FREE at http://www.insanejournal.com (100 userpics) and http://www.greatestjournal.com (2000 userpics, I shit you not). Plus so far no one over there has yet taken their customers' money and then deleted their journal because they didn't like the content of the journal.
So why am I still here? Because basically no-one else wanted to move, everyone's still here. I was VERY angry about this for quite a time, I'm still royally annoyed and very disappointed by people and I've been trying not to think about this issue since I've returned to a more frequent blogging routine.
Which leads to the subject of advertisement. Of course I didn't renew my paid account. I use Firefox and the Adblock addon - my internet is ad-free anyway, I don't see any adverts. For me my journal and flist even have an eye-pleasing header. I'm not responsible for the LJ choice of adverts. If you hate the adverts, make those hundred-and-something people on my flist migrate to one of those providers mentioned above - or, why don't you just use Firefox?

If anything has already happened I'll blog about it. That means: a tv series / a movie has been publicly available for some time. Hey, of course I will put it under a cut if I was one of the first people who saw it - but after, lets say, a month, I'll consider it "common knowledge".
